Which Canadian networks are included?

The main English-language networks are all in the guide: CBC, CTV, Global and Citytv, plus CHCH and the news channels CP24, CBC News Network and CTV News Channel.

ChannelWhat people watch it for
CBCThe public broadcaster: national news, Canadian drama and comedy, big national events
CTVEvening news, popular US network series, and simulcasts of big events like the Grey Cup
GlobalGlobal News and US network series
CitytvLocal news in major cities and US network series
CHCHHamilton’s station, with local news for the Hamilton area
CP24Toronto local news, traffic and weather around the clock

CTV, Global and Citytv run separate local stations in many cities, each with its own 6 o’clock news. If you want a particular city’s station, ask in chat or look for it in the trial before you buy.

Where does each league air in Canada in 2026–27?

Most Canadian sports rights sit with two channel families: Bell’s TSN and RDS, and Rogers’ Sportsnet, with TVA Sports in French. Know which family has your league and you know which channel to open in the guide. This table reflects broadcasters’ announcements up to October 2026; deals change, so check the league’s own schedule for a specific game.

The NHL in 2026–27

This season is the first of Rogers’ 12-season national deal, which runs through 2037–38. Sportsnet carries the national games in English, and Saturday Night Hockey now fills the old Hockey Night in Canada slot. CBC no longer airs NHL games. In French, TVA Sports carries the national games under a sub-licence from Rogers. Game times and networks for each night are on the NHL schedule.

Local teams still have regional games. The Maple Leafs are split between Sportsnet Ontario and TSN 4. The Oilers and Flames are on Sportsnet West, the Canucks on Sportsnet Pacific, and the Jets on TSN 3. The Senators are on TSN 5 in English and RDS in French, and the Canadiens are on TSN in English and RDS in French.

Games that only stream on an app

A growing number of games aren’t on a TV channel at all. This season, Monday Night Hockey streams only on Sportsnet+, and Prime Video has its own weekly NHL game. Apple TV has every MLS match, DAZN has NFL Game Pass and the Champions League, and Fubo has the Premier League. Those are apps, not channels, so don’t assume a streaming-only game appears in any IPTV guide. Ask in chat before you count on one.

That also means IPTV isn’t always your best option. If you follow one league and it streams in full on one app, such as MLS on Apple TV, that app alone may be all you need.

How do the TSN and Sportsnet regional feeds work?

TSN and Sportsnet each split into regional feeds. On cable or satellite, your provider puts your region’s feed on your main channel, and a local team’s regional game only plays for viewers inside that team’s broadcast region. Everyone else sees other programming. TSN’s own help page explains these regional rights and blackout rules.

TSN feedMain regionRegional NHL team
TSN 1British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon—
TSN 2National feed—
TSN 3Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and parts of northern OntarioWinnipeg Jets
TSN 4Ontario, except OttawaToronto Maple Leafs
TSN 5Ottawa, eastern Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic CanadaOttawa Senators
Sportsnet feedMain regionRegional NHL teams
Sportsnet OntarioOntarioToronto Maple Leafs
Sportsnet EastQuebec and Atlantic Canada—
Sportsnet WestAlberta, Saskatchewan, ManitobaEdmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames
Sportsnet PacificBritish ColumbiaVancouver Canucks
Sportsnet One and Sportsnet 360National channelsExtra games, including some Blue Jays games

In the IPTV Rich TV guide, each feed is its own channel: TSN 1 to 5, Sportsnet Ontario, East, West and Pacific, Sportsnet One and Sportsnet 360. You open the one carrying your game. Whether a particular regional game plays on a feed depends on that feed’s source, so if you follow one team, watch its next regional game during your trial. City guides, like IPTV in Toronto or IPTV in Montréal, cover the local teams in more detail.

Which French-language channels are included?

The full package includes the French-language channels Quebec and francophone Canada watch most: RDS, RDS 2, TVA Sports, TVA, Noovo, ICI Radio-Canada Télé, Télé-Québec, LCN and RDI. Live chat support is available in French too.

  • RDS and RDS 2: Bell’s French sports channels, with regional Canadiens and Senators games, the CFL and the Alouettes, the NFL, Formula 1 and selected MLS matches.
  • TVA Sports: the national NHL games in French from 2026–27, plus UFC.
  • TVA and Noovo: Quebec’s big private networks, with news, variety, drama and reality shows.
  • ICI Radio-Canada Télé: the French network of the public broadcaster.
  • Télé-Québec: Quebec’s public educational network, with children’s shows and culture.
  • LCN and RDI: French-language news around the clock.

These are in the full package, not the English-only one. For a closer look, read our guide to French-language channels for Quebec viewers.

Which news channels can I watch?

For Canadian news, the guide has CP24, CBC News Network and CTV News Channel in English, and LCN and RDI in French, plus the evening newscasts on CBC, CTV, Global, Citytv and CHCH. The full package also has US, UK and international channels, including news. If you need one specific news channel from abroad, ask in chat before you order.

What’s the difference between the full and English-only packages?

You choose the package at checkout, and the price is the same either way.

PackageWhat’s in itPick it if
Full channelsAll countries: Canadian, US, UK, French-language, sports and international channelsYou watch RDS or TVA Sports, follow international sports, or share the TV with people who watch in other languages
English channels onlyA shorter, simpler list of English-language channelsYou only watch in English and want a guide that’s quicker to scroll

Not sure? The full package covers everything, and you can hide the groups you don’t use in most player apps. Prices for both are on the IPTV subscription page.

How do the TV guide and catch-up work?

The TV guide (EPG) shows what’s on now and next for supported channels, inside your player app: TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, IBO Player, XCIPTV or a MAG portal. Most apps let you build a favourites list, so your 20 everyday channels sit at the top instead of somewhere in a list of thousands.

Catch-up lets you play programmes that already aired, on supported channels. Not every channel has it, and support differs between apps, so if catch-up matters to you, test it in the trial on the channels you watch. If the guide shows blank rows or wrong times, our article on fixing an EPG that isn’t updating walks through the causes.

Which channels are in 4K?

Only the ones where the channel source broadcasts in 4K, which mostly means big sports events and some movies. Most channels are HD or Full HD, and nobody can turn an HD broadcast into true 4K. Be wary of any service that promises everything in 4K.

4K also needs the right setup: a 4K TV, a 4K-capable device such as a Fire TV Stick 4K, and about 25 Mbps per screen, which uses 7 to 10 GB of data per hour. On a 10 Mbps rural line, stick to HD. Our guide to the internet speed you need for 4K IPTV has the details.

Where is the full channel list?

In your app, during the free trial, or in live chat. A list of 57,000+ channels on a web page wouldn’t be useful, and lineups change. The quickest way to check a channel is to ask in live chat: “Do you have TSN 3?” gets a straight answer, every day from 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern.

A note on the rules: IPTV as a technology is legal in Canada. Whether a given stream is legal depends on whether the channel owner licensed it. IPTV Rich does not host content, and viewers are responsible for what they watch where they live. When you’re ready, compare the IPTV Canada plans in CAD, from $17 for one month on one device.

Questions about IPTV Canada channels

Is TSN 4 included for Leafs games?

Yes. TSN 1 to 5 are all in the guide, along with Sportsnet Ontario, which shares the Leafs’ regional games. Whether a given regional game plays on a feed depends on that feed’s source, so check the next Leafs regional game during your free trial.

Can I still watch Hockey Night in Canada on CBC?

No, not for NHL games. From 2026–27, CBC no longer airs NHL games. Saturday NHL games are on Sportsnet as Saturday Night Hockey, and Sportsnet’s feeds are in the guide.

Are RDS and TVA Sports included?

Yes, in the full package, along with RDS 2, TVA, Noovo, ICI Radio-Canada Télé, Télé-Québec, LCN and RDI. They are not in the English-only package.

Can I watch Premier League matches?

In Canada, the Premier League belongs to Fubo, a streaming service, not to TSN or Sportsnet. The full package includes UK and international sports channels, so ask in live chat which channel has the match you want before you count on it.

Are US channels included?

Yes, US channels are in the full package along with UK and international ones. For one specific channel, ask in live chat or look for it during your trial.
