How do reseller credits and the dashboard work?

You buy credits up front, then spend them in your reseller dashboard each time you create or renew a line for one of your customers. A line is one customer’s IPTV login, the same service sold on our IPTV subscription plans: live channels, movies and series, the TV guide and catch-up on supported channels.

How many credits a line uses depends on the plan. Ask us in chat for the credit rate per plan before you order a pack. The answer stays in your chat history, so you can check it any time.

What the dashboard gives you:

  • Create and renew lines for your own customers, without waiting for us.
  • Customer management tools to keep track of the lines you’ve sold.
  • Priority technical support from our desk by live chat and email.
  • Marketing materials you can use to explain the service to your customers.

What does one credit cost?

Bigger packs lower your cost per credit. This is simple division of the pack prices, rounded to the cent.

PackPrice (CAD)Cost per creditCompared with 120 credits
120 credits$350about $2.92—
240 credits$650about $2.71about 7% less per credit
720 credits$1,900about $2.64about 9.5% less per credit

Start with the smallest pack if you’re new. The saving on a bigger pack only matters once you have the customers to use the credits.

How much do you keep? Margin math, step by step

Your margin on each customer is what you charge minus what that line costs you in credits. Three lines of arithmetic:

  1. Find your cost per credit. Use the table above for the pack you bought.
  2. Find your cost per line. Multiply the credits the plan uses (from the rate we give you in chat) by your cost per credit.
  3. Subtract it from your price. What’s left is your margin, before your own costs such as your time and any ads.

Here is the same math with a made-up cost. Say the credits for one 12-month line cost you $30 at your pack’s rate. You choose what to charge your customer:

Your price to your customer (you choose)Your credit cost (made-up)What you keep
$60$30$30
$75$30$45
$90$30$60

What the margin table doesn’t show

Your time is a real cost. Your customers will message you, not us, when a channel freezes at 9:45 p.m. during a playoff game. Budget for setup visits or calls, for answering in the evening, and for the occasional customer who wants their money back.

Selling also makes you a business. Keep records of what you sell. If your taxable sales go over $30,000 within four consecutive calendar quarters, you’re no longer a small supplier and must register for the GST/HST: see the Canada Revenue Agency’s page on when to register for and charge the GST/HST.

On the rules: IPTV as a technology is legal in Canada. Whether a given stream is legal depends on whether the channel owner licensed it. IPTV Rich does not host content, and viewers are responsible for what they watch where they live. More on whether IPTV is legal in Canada.

Who is reselling a good fit for?

Reselling suits people who already help others with their TV and are happy to keep doing it. It isn’t passive income.

Good fit

You already set up Fire TV Sticks, smart TVs or phones for family, friends and neighbours, and they trust you to answer when something stops working.

Good fit

You run a small shop that sells or repairs TVs, boxes, phones or computers, and customers already ask you how to drop cable.

Not a good fit

You want money without customer contact, you can’t answer messages in the evening, or you only need your own household covered. For that last one, a regular plan is simpler: 12 months on 3 devices is $178.

How do I start as a reseller?

  1. Test the service first. Ask for the free 24-hour trial and watch it the way your customers will: evening sports, the TV guide, more than one device.
  2. Ask for the credit rate. In live chat, ask how many credits each plan uses, so you can price your lines.
  3. Order a pack. Tap “Buy this pack” above, enter your name, email and mobile number, and note your order number (it starts with IR-).
  4. Pay by Interac e-Transfer. Recipient ITLOGY LLC, sent to support@waitly.ca, the exact amount, and your order number in the message.
  5. Get your dashboard login by email. Once the transfer is matched to your order, your reseller dashboard login is sent to the email you gave at checkout.

Your customers will need setup help on their own devices. Send them our device setup guides, and point them to the channel guide when they ask what’s included. New to the service yourself? Start with the IPTV Canada overview.

It depends on the plan. Ask us in live chat for the credit rate per plan before you buy a pack; the answer stays in your chat history.
