IPTV Canada, explained
Short answer: IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) sends TV channels to your screen over the internet. In Canada that means the same channels you know, from CBC and CTV to TSN and RDS, playing in an app on the TV you already own. With IPTV Rich you pick 1 to 3 devices and 1 to 12 months, pay once by Interac e-Transfer, and nothing renews automatically.
Canada’s big providers already use the same technology: Bell Fibe TV and similar services deliver TV over an internet connection to a box they rent you. An IPTV subscription does the same job without the box and without the contract. You install a player app, type in the login we send you, and the channel list, the TV guide and the on-demand library appear. Most people are watching within ten minutes of their e-Transfer arriving.
It is not the right choice for everyone. If you only watch Netflix, you do not need an IPTV subscription. If your internet is under 10 Mbps, stick to HD on one screen. That is why the free 24-hour IPTV trial exists: to find out on your own TV and your own connection before paying anything.
IPTV Canada prices
IPTV Rich costs $17 CAD for one month on one device and $77 for a full year. Two devices are $128 for a year and three are $178. Pick how many screens watch at the same time, then how long. The price on the card is the total you send by Interac: no tax line is added, there is no contract and nothing to cancel.

IPTV vs cable vs streaming
We priced the real alternatives in October 2026. In Ontario, Bell’s Fibe TV “Good” package with one receiver comes to $949.20 for twelve months once 13% HST is added. A cord-cutter who follows hockey and football and stacks Sportsnet+ Standard, TSN Standard and DAZN pays $926.44 a year with HST, before Netflix or Crave. A year of IPTV Rich is $77 on one device, $128 on two and $178 on three, paid once.

| Household | Cable or streaming, 12 months | IPTV Rich, 12 months | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| One TV, sports and news (Bell Fibe TV Good + 1 receiver, Ontario) | $949.20 | $77 (1 device) | $872.20 |
| Two TVs, sports and news (Bell Fibe TV Good + 2 receivers) | $1,084.80 | $128 (2 devices) | $956.80 |
| Cord-cutter with the sports mix (Sportsnet+, TSN, DAZN) | $926.44 | $128 (2 devices) | $798.44 |
| Basic channels only (Bell Fibe TV Starter + 1 receiver) | $474.60 | $77 (1 device) | $397.60 |
Cable prices come from Bell’s Fibe TV package page and the streaming prices from each service’s own price page; the full working, province by province, is in our cable vs IPTV cost breakdown for 2026. Cable still has real advantages for some homes: one bill with internet, a remote everyone knows and no setup. If those matter more than the money, keep it. For the feature-by-feature view, read IPTV vs cable in Canada.

What’s on
IPTV Rich carries the Canadian networks people actually ask about, by name: CBC, CTV, Global, Citytv and CP24; TSN 1 to 5 and every Sportsnet regional feed; RDS, RDS 2, TVA Sports, Noovo and ICI Radio-Canada Télé in French. The full package adds US, UK and international channels, for 57,000+ live channels in all, plus 250,000+ movies and series on demand. Hockey 2026–27
This is the first season of Rogers’ new 12-year national NHL deal, and the map has changed. CBC no longer carries NHL games: Saturday nights are now Saturday Night Hockey on Sportsnet. Monday Night Hockey streams only on Sportsnet+, Prime Video has its own Wednesday games, and TVA Sports keeps the French national package under a 12-year sublicence announced by the NHL. Regional games stay with TSN, Sportsnet and RDS, team by team:
| Team | English regional | French regional | Time zone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Maple Leafs | Split between TSN 4 and Sportsnet Ontario | — | Eastern |
| Montréal Canadiens | TSN 2 (about 50 games) | RDS (45 games); TVA Sports nationally | Eastern |
| Ottawa Senators | TSN 5 | RDS | Eastern |
| Winnipeg Jets | TSN 3 | — | Central |
| Calgary Flames | Sportsnet West | — | Mountain |
| Edmonton Oilers | Sportsnet West | — | Mountain |
| Vancouver Canucks | Sportsnet Pacific | — | Pacific |
Every one of those channel families, TSN 1 to 5, the four Sportsnet regional feeds, RDS and TVA Sports, sits in the same IPTV Rich TV guide, so a family in Calgary can follow the Flames on Sportsnet West while someone upstairs watches the Leafs on TSN 4. Regional blackouts on the official streaming apps are a common reason people switch. For game times, streaming options and playoff rights, read how to watch the 2026–27 NHL season in Canada without cable.
Will it work at your place?
About 5 Mbps per screen for HD, 10 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Add the numbers for every screen watching at the same time, then keep roughly 30% spare for the phones and laptops in the house.
| Quality | Speed per screen | Data per hour |
|---|---|---|
| SD | 3 Mbps | about 0.7 GB |
| HD 720p | 5 Mbps | 1.5 to 2 GB |
| Full HD 1080p | 10 Mbps | about 3 GB |
| 4K | 25 Mbps | 7 to 10 GB |
Most fibre and cable plans from Bell, Rogers, Telus, Vidéotron, Cogeco and Eastlink are well above what three streams need. The usual problem is not the plan but the path: Wi-Fi through two floors, an old router or a busy neighbourhood node at 8 p.m. A network cable to the main TV fixes most of it. Rural lines on fixed wireless or satellite need more care; our guide to IPTV on rural internet, Starlink and Xplore covers them.
This measures your browser's download speed and response time to the nearest server of this website. It does not test the IPTV streams themselves: that is what the free trial is for. Nothing is stored.
The check measures your own line from this browser, right now. For a second opinion, run a test on Speedtest by Ookla from the device that will play TV. The full explanation, with ping and jitter, is in the speed and ping you need for 4K IPTV.
The honest answer
IPTV as a technology is legal in Canada: it is simply TV delivered over the internet, and Bell, Rogers and Telus deliver their own TV services this way. Whether a given stream is legal depends on whether the channel owner licensed it. IPTV Rich does not host content, and each viewer is responsible for what they watch where they live.
What Canadian law actually looks at is the source of the stream, not the app or the box. Copyright owners can send notices through internet providers under the federal notice-and-notice regime, and the Federal Court has ordered internet providers to block some unlicensed streaming services. Our page on whether IPTV is legal in Canada walks through the court decisions in plain language, and how to choose a safe IPTV provider covers payment and privacy.

Roku has no good IPTV player app in its store. If you have a Roku TV, a Fire TV Stick plugged into a spare HDMI port is the simplest fix.
