Short answer: Yes. IPTV works across Hamilton on Rogers, Cogeco or Bell internet. Tiger-Cats games are on TSN, Forge FC is on TSN or CBC when its match is picked, and the new PWHL Hamilton team starts in December. Hamilton is also inside the Leafs’ regional area, so Leafs games are on TSN 4 or Sportsnet Ontario, and CHCH covers local news.

Where do Hamilton’s own teams play on TV?

On TSN for football, on TSN or CBC for soccer, and on a mix of networks for the new PWHL team. The table sets out each one for 2026–27.

TeamLeagueHomeWhere it airsWhen to tune in (Hamilton time)
Tiger-CatsCFLThe east-end stadium they share with ForgeTSN, every game in 2026; RDS has selected games in FrenchMostly evening kickoffs; Grey Cup on Sunday, November 15, in Calgary
Forge FCCPLSame stadiumTSN Match of the Week, CBC and CBC Gem (selected); every match streams on the league’s partnerRegular season ends Sunday, October 25; playoffs on TSN and CBC
PWHL HamiltonPWHL, first seasonTD Coliseum, downtownDebut on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada; other games on CBC, TSN or Sportsnet, game by gameDebut Saturday, December 5, at the Montréal Victoire

Forge came into 2026 as the 2025 CPL Shield winners, the team with the best regular season, and were in the race for first place again in mid-October. Only some CPL matches reach TV, though: TSN picks one Match of the Week, CBC takes a few more, and the rest stream only on the league’s own partner. The CPL’s official site lists the broadcaster for each match.

PWHL Hamilton is the city’s newest team. The league awarded it in May 2026, it plays at TD Coliseum, the renovated downtown arena that used to be the FirstOntario Centre, and it opens on December 5 against the reigning champion Montréal Victoire in Laval, on CBC. That is one of eight PWHL games CBC is airing under the Hockey Night in Canada name this season. The PWHL schedule shows the channel for each home game once it’s set.

Can you follow the Leafs, Raptors and Blue Jays from Hamilton?

Yes. Hamilton sits inside the Leafs’ regional TV area, so regional Leafs games are split between TSN 4, which serves most of Ontario, and Sportsnet Ontario. That split came out of the deal in which Rogers bought Bell’s stake in MLSE, and reports say it secures Bell’s share of the games for years to come. National Leafs games are on Sportsnet, and that now includes Saturday nights, since CBC stopped carrying NHL games after 2025–26.

The Raptors have been split between TSN and Sportsnet in recent seasons, and the Blue Jays, owned by Rogers, are on Sportsnet. Start times match Toronto’s: Leafs home games usually at 7 p.m., Raptors home games usually at 7:30 p.m., and Jays evening games at 7:07 p.m.

Plenty of Hamilton homes cheer for Buffalo as well. NFL games have aired on TSN and CTV in recent seasons, so check the guide on Sunday for the Bills. For more on the Toronto side, our Toronto IPTV page goes into detail.

Is CHCH on IPTV Rich, and where do you get Hamilton news?

Yes, CHCH is one of the Canadian channels in our list. It’s Hamilton’s own independent station, owned by Channel Zero, and its newscasts focus on Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe rather than downtown Toronto. One change this year: in late August 2026, CHCH paused its Saturday 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts, while its other newscasts carried on.

For wider coverage, CP24, CTV, Global and Citytv all report on Hamilton stories from Toronto, and CBC News Network and CTV News Channel carry the bigger provincial news. During your trial, open CHCH at 6 p.m. on a weeknight and make sure it plays the way you expect.

One honest alternative: CHCH also broadcasts over the air from Hamilton, and the main Toronto stations can often be picked up too. If local news and a few network shows are all you watch, an indoor or rooftop antenna may be all you need, at no monthly cost. IPTV makes more sense once you want TSN, Sportsnet and the sports that live on them.

Rogers, Cogeco or Bell: how do you get a steady stream on the Mountain and below it?

Any of the three can carry IPTV; what matters is a steady connection at the TV. Rogers, Cogeco and Bell all sell internet in parts of the Hamilton area, and which ones reach your street depends on the neighbourhood, so check each company’s address lookup before you switch. None of them needs to sell you TV for IPTV to work.

Lower-city brick: Kirkendall, Durand and Crown Point

Narrow, deep brick houses tend to put the modem by the front window and the TV at the back. Two or three brick walls between them weaken Wi-Fi more than most people expect. A flat Ethernet cable along the baseboard, or a pair of powerline adapters, is usually cheaper than a new router and works better.

Towers downtown and in the West Harbour

New condo towers crowd the 2.4 GHz band with neighbours’ routers. Put the streaming device on 5 GHz, and if your unit has a network jack near the TV, plug in.

The Mountain, Stoney Creek and Ancaster

Suburban houses are friendlier to Wi-Fi, but a router in the basement is a long way from a TV upstairs. If the picture only breaks up on evenings when the Ticats or the Leafs are on, the cause could be a busy neighbourhood line or your own Wi-Fi. Our comparison of Wi-Fi and Ethernet for IPTV shows how to tell which one it is.

Flamborough, Glanbrook and the rural edge

Past the suburbs, in places like Binbrook, Lynden or Carlisle, many homes rely on fixed wireless or Starlink. The escarpment and heavy tree cover can get in the way of a fixed-wireless signal, so test at night before committing. Plan on HD at about 5 Mbps per stream, and remember that Full HD uses about 3 GB an hour if your plan has a cap.

A typical two-screen Saturday, the Ticats in Full HD in the living room and the Leafs in Full HD in the basement, needs about 20 Mbps, plus roughly 30% headroom, so around 26 Mbps free. 4K takes 25 Mbps for each screen, and only plays where the broadcaster sends 4K. If you’re starting from scratch, our Fire TV Stick setup guide is the quickest way to get going.

Which package suits Hamilton’s Arabic-, Italian- and Portuguese-speaking homes?

The Full package, if anyone at home watches in a language other than English. Hamilton’s 2021 census results show how mixed the city is: Arabic (2.6% of residents) and Italian (2.5%) lead the non-official mother tongues, followed by Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Portuguese, Punjabi and Polish. The Full package includes channels grouped by country. Since the sources behind international channels change, we won’t promise a particular Italian, Arabic or Portuguese channel; check the one your family relies on during the trial.

The English-only package is the simpler pick for homes that only watch English-language channels: TSN, Sportsnet, CHCH, CTV, CBC, Global and Citytv, with a shorter guide to scroll through.

In a house where one generation watches Italian news and another watches the Ticats, the 3-device plan for 12 months is $178, and all three screens can play at the same time.

Should a Hamilton household choose IPTV Rich?

It suits you if you want Hamilton’s teams, the Toronto clubs and CHCH in one place without a cable bill. You pay once by Interac e-Transfer and nothing renews on its own; see every IPTV subscription plan side by side, or start with how our IPTV Canada service works.

Skip it if:

  • You follow one team only and that team’s own streaming option already covers every game you want.
  • You want every Forge match. Many stream only on the league’s partner, not on a TV channel.
  • Your rural connection drops in the evening or your plan has a tight data cap.
  • You want a phone line, a store or card payments. We have none of those. Support is by live chat and email, every day from 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern, and payment is by Interac e-Transfer.

Ticats fans with family in the capital can compare Redblacks coverage on our Ottawa IPTV page, and the IPTV near me hub lists every other city we cover.

  1. Around 6 p.m.: open CHCH and check that the local newscast plays smoothly.
  2. At game time: put the game on TSN, TSN 4 or Sportsnet Ontario in the room where you watch most.
  3. Add a second screen: start another channel upstairs or on a phone to see how two streams share your line.
  4. Compare Wi-Fi and cable: if one TV stutters, plug it in for ten minutes and see whether the problem goes away.
  5. Check your language: search the guide for the Italian, Arabic or Portuguese channel your family wants before you pay.
